Chris Ballard

Self Proclaimed Limiter Lover, Social Media & Marketplace Guru

Born and raised in Lewis County, Washington, Chris comes from a tight-knit off-road community known for snow wheeling and legendary trails like Elbe Hills ORV. By day, he works in the storm and sewer industry while balancing life as a devoted husband and dad — with family always coming first. His wife, Kenna, is right there beside him on the trails, throwing snow and crawling rocks, and honestly… she might like limiter more than he does.

Chris started wheeling at just 10 years old alongside his stepdad, building his mom’s 1991 Explorer to explore the Pacific Northwest. That early hands-on experience taught him how to drive, wrench, and visualize builds — skills that shaped his lifelong passion for Ford rigs and serious trail performance.

He’s best known for his fully built 1991 Ford Ranger — a 4.0L, 5-speed monster sitting on 1999–2004 Super Duty axles, 5.38 gears locked front and rear, and rolling on 42” Interco IROKs mounted to 8x170 Raceline 32-bolt beadlocks. From custom suspension links and coil buckets to handcrafted bumpers, sliders, and rear armor, this rig is 100% purpose-built. It’s a platform most people underestimate — until it dominates everything in its path.

Chris stays active in the off-road community through social media, helping new wheelers get started, sharing build knowledge, and supporting others running similar setups. He believes in growing the sport the right way — with respect for the trails, solid recovery practices, and real-world experience.

For Chris, off-roading isn’t just a hobby — it’s a lifestyle. His motto is “Hold it to the floor till the motor says no more.” It’s who he is. He’s proud to be part of the Interco Tire family and plans to run Interco until it’s time to hang up the keys.
