Interco Limited Warranty Information
Interco provides a limited warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for eligible tires. Warranty coverage begins on the date of manufacture, not the date of purchase. Please review the terms below to understand eligibility, coverage limits, and the steps required to file a claim.
1. Warranty Coverage Periods
Coverage varies by product type:
- DOT Light Truck Tires: Covered for 5 years from the date of manufacture.
- ATV/UTV/SXS Tires: Covered for 2 years from the date of manufacture.
- Blemished Tires (Blem List): Covered for 1 year from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects only.
- Competition/Sticky Tires & Non-Highway-Use Tires: No manufacturer’s warranty is offered due to the extreme and intended nature of their use.
2. Shipping Issues Are Not Warranty Claims
Shipping-related concerns — including freight damage, incorrect items, quantity discrepancies, cosmetic damage from transport, or any issues caused by handling during delivery — are not covered under this warranty.
All shipping issues must be reported under Interco’s Receiving & Inspection Policy, which requires customers to notify Interco within 48 hours of delivery.
Claims submitted outside that timeframe are not eligible for freight-related returns or adjustments and will not be reviewed as warranty claims.
3. Eligibility Requirements for Warranty Review
To qualify for warranty review:
- Tires must be purchased new, used for their intended purpose, and include original proof of purchase.
- Tires must not be:
- Mounted on beadlock or homemade wheels
- Damaged through misuse, neglect, improper installation, overloading, underinflation, or road hazards
- Used in racing, competition, burnouts, or any activity outside the tire’s intended design
- Warranty claims are not transferable and do not apply to used or second-hand tires.
4. Filing a Warranty Claim
Customers should begin the claim process with their original dealer whenever possible. If the dealer is unavailable or unable to assist, Interco will process the claim directly.
A. Through the Original Dealer
The dealer will inspect the tire and help determine whether the issue appears to be a manufacturing defect.
If so, the dealer will assist in submitting the required information to Interco.
B. Directly With Interco
If dealer support is unavailable:
- Contact Interco’s Warranty Department at 800-299-8000.
- Provide the following documentation electronically:
- Clear photos of the tire (full sidewall, tread profile, close-ups of the issue)
- DOT code
- Tread depth measurements for all tires
- A photo of the vehicle with tires mounted
- A video for issues not visible in still photography (e.g., vibration, out-of-round, air loss)
- Original purchase receipt
Email all documentation to: [email protected]
Submitting documents prior to calling may expedite the process.
5. What Interco Provides if a Covered Defect Is Confirmed
If Interco determines that a defect in workmanship or materials exists:
- A prorated adjustment credit may be issued based on age and remaining tread.
- Interco may offer a discounted replacement tire, depending on prorated credit and available programs.
- The defective tire (in part or whole) may be required to be returned to Interco at the customer’s expense for final inspection.
Interco does not reimburse freight, mounting, balancing, or service fees associated with removal or installation.
6. Additional Provisions
- Warranty applies solely to manufacturing defects.
- Premature wear, irregular wear patterns, improper maintenance, road hazards, and damage beyond intended use are not covered.
- DOT tires used in competition are not eligible.
- The use of beadlock or non-standard wheels may void the warranty.
- Having all required documentation ready significantly speeds up processing.
